The PTO helps helps our support our students, teachers, and school throughout the year. We seek always to find ways to enrich our students' education and give back to our amazing school that gives us all so much!
2021-2022 in Review
Below are some highlights of the support we provided to MES in the 2021-22 school year.
Student Enrichment & Support:
- Accelerated Reader reward parties in fall and spring
- Accelerated Reader top point earner rewards
- Supplied treasure box items for Success Maker participation
- Stocked bottled water for student
- Sold back to school supply kits
- Provided funding for third grade promotion
- Hosted Grandparents Day and Scholastic Book Fair, which sold more than $24,000 in books
Capital Improvement & Facilities:
- Planted trees to create long-term shade around the playground
- Purchased playground equipment storage
Tiger Pride:
- Supplied more than 600 shirts to students and staff for the holidays
- Conducted fall and spring spirit wear orders
- Held Kindergarten ice cream social
- Purchased MES corn hole boards to use during recess and school events
- Held school wide popsicle party
Teacher Support:
- Each teacher received $500 to use for classroom needs
- Sponsored dinner during parent/teacher conference week
- Supplied Sonic gift cards for home visit day
- Held monthly Woot Woot Wagon to gift teachers with classroom supplies and treats
